Improving Wall Games?

Would it be possible to setup a small, public alert box for wall games? I think it would promote more games and lead to easier testing. I've been looking for a game for a while, but have found nothing.

Forgive my noobness but what is a wall game?

It's a section of the forum where you can play magic against another member by a string of posts. Someone creates a post requesting a game, and when someone answer it's on! Check the How-To post to get a grip on how it's done.

Good idea! You could mark a box saying something like "Up for a Wall Game" and it has a list at the bottom of the page of who would like to play, along with the list of people online.

This is a good idea I'd love to see this implemented

PapaBudz

Yay! Let's do it! I like your idea Agrus. It should also include the format of the game the member is looking to play.

Yeah, I like this, and you should be able to select "Two person" and you can boot people from que and close to okay. That'd be cool!

Why not simply play on MOTG?

Doesn't Magic online cost money? I would rather use the cards I already have and save money.

I think improving Wall Games could lead to more traffic too. Then the app would have everything.

Piotr

It could also lead to Hasbro's lawyers going after us.

PapaBudz

They haven't yet. I don't think an alert box for easier game setup will cause any trouble.

There's nothing wrong with casually playing with your friends, right? So what's the difference between playing at home or on the internet? Nobody is winning any money or prizes.

I agree with Papabudz, I can't see Hasbro going after us for playing Magic on a forum, especially on such a small scale, compared to the number of people who play Magic. In the end though, its Piotr's call. Also does Magic Online really only cost $10? I was lead to believe that you had to buy virtual packs and everything.
