I'd say it's done then! Or at least, it was until I got the cards out and saw the {Grand Melee} I'd been saving for the deck. Hmm... Can it make it in somehow...

Also found a copy of...
+ {Increasing Ambition}

Which will replace...
- {Diabolic Tutor}

Kind of a shame, I love the art on Diabolic tutor. But having the option to use the card a second time (and search for an additional 2 cards) makes it worth the extra 1 mana to cast initially. And it's not double-black, which is also nice.

I would love to play a 4+ player game with this deck on the field, holy crap that just sounds awesome! Almost every set has that one terrible red card, ({Scrambleverse}, {Possibility Storm} etc.) and I've always speculated what would that card actually do? I love EDH for the crazy interactions and political appeal, but this deck completely changes the game, literally. Well done sir, this deck is fantastic!

Gorzo

Many thanks! I've edited the deck post now that cuts and changes have been made. And the last of the cards I need to make the deck are in the mail (yay amazon reward points! Nothing like a free EDH deck!)

I do wish I could find room for {Grand Melee} and {Goblin Bomb} though :P

Can someone explain how the card  {Goblin Game} works? I'm totally confused!

It's a super fun card. Everyone writes down a number or covers small objects with their hand (coins, dice, etc). They are all revealed at the same time. Everyone loses life equal to the number they wrote down or how many things they covered up. Whoever had the lowest number then loses a whopping half of their life total! The idea is use a number high enough to avoid being the lowest (so you don't lose half your life), but low enough that you aren't flat-out crippled by the life lost from just hiding stuff!

Example!

-Jim plays {Goblin Game}. All players laugh.

- Jim writes down 4 on a scrap of paper. Nick hides 6 pennies. Steve hides 3 dice. Shawn hides 4 M&Ms.

- Players reveal their numbers. Steve loses 3 life, Shawn and Jim lose 4, and Nick loses 6 life.

- Steve loses half of his remaining life total - he lost the goblin game!

Was doing a random search and found a car that would be perfect for this deck: {{Teferi's Realm}}

lol, that is pretty funny. Not sure what I'd be able to take out for it though. I'm still struggling with not being able for {Grand Melee} in :P

{Teferi's Puzzle Box} could be fun, too.

Might I ask how much this deck costs?

It's one of the cheapest (if not the outright cheapest) commander decks I've ever built. Tcg averages the deck at $105. A vast majority of the cards are .50 cents or less.

The only reason it's up to 100 is because of 5 cards in particular - {Scapeshift}, {Idyllic tutor}, {Chaos Warp}, {Thran Dynamo}, and {Homeward Path}. Another 7~ish comes from the shards tri-lands ({Jungle shrine}, etc) if you want to budget the deck, find replacements for these and you'll be down to about $65 for the whole deck.

Gorzo

Umm... Oops, I accidentally broke Magic with this deck.

{Endless Whispers} + {Spreading Plague} + 2 creatures that share a color = endless loop.

Whoopsies!

You know I'm going to start doing this on purpose now. :D

Mlerner12

{Child of Alara} and {Karona, the False God} could be better commanders...

Gorzo

Bah, I misread {Endless Whispers} - happens at the end step :( I'm sad now. Still funny, though. Read the card, Gorzo, read the card.

I thought about child and Karona, but settled on Cromat and am happy with my choice. He gives me some much needed self-preservation that Karona does not, and I don't have any need for board wipes with this deck to use Child. No ways to re-use child if I let it go to the graveyard, either. Cromat gives me ground to stand on.

Bump for Matteo!

I must say, after playing this deck now for a couple months...

It.
Is.
Sooooooo fun.

Half the time it even looks like I'm screwing myself, and I love it.

"Did you just play {Scapeshift} into {Maze's End} and 9 gates, cast {Blood Moon}, and then play the 10th gate?"
"Yep."
"So they're just 11 tapped mountains that can't win you the game?"
"Yep!"
"...Wtf is wrong you?"
"Don't worry about it, it'll be fine."

Lol thanks a lot!! Also I haven't checked it out yet is it expensive $wise?

Gorzo

It's actually pretty dang cheap. Avg $105 on tcg for the whole deck right now. And most of that is going to be from 5-10 cards, a vast majority of this decklist is .25-.50 cent cards.
