What's your favourite card for each mechanic.
Ill start:
Azorious (detain) I have only played in limited so my choice is  {Lyev Decree} 2 mana to detain 2 is good.
Boros (battalion) I run  {Legion Loyalist} in my Gruul deck so it'd have to be him. He's just a great 1 drop for an instant attack and it gets them on the ropes quick.
Dimir (cipher) ya I have no clue lol
Golgari (scavenge) {Varolz, the Scar-Striped} although it doesn't have scavenge it gives every creature in your gy scavenge so an exception can be made
Gruul (Bloodrush)  {Rubblebelt Maaka} only bc GCR is too common and can be seen a mile away whereas Maaka is relatively unknown and for 1 mana
Izzet (overload)  {Mizzium Mortars}!! Nuf said
Orzhov (extort) like cipher I have no clue
Rakdos (unleash)  {Rakdos Cackler} (I love low CMC)
Selesnia (populate) no clue never played it
Simic (evolve)  {Gyre Sage} by far the best evolver need mana done need a solid attack that can be arranged but I'd keep it for mana

That's my opinion whats yours?

Cypher worked awesome for me at the prerelease packed 2 {Undercity Plague} that did work in my esper deck on 3/2 flying hexproof creature.

But competitively Bloodrush is where it's at. {Ghor-Clan Rampager} puts in work.

I know GCR is unreal but I like the surprise part of Bloodrush and nobody (except me) plays Maaka so if I just have 1 mana open its perfect. But GCR is great especially since it give trample

I agree with all that, except Orzhov has to be {Pontiaff of Blight}. Rakdos is {Exaba Blood Witch}.

Umm... No! Orzhov has got to be {Blind Obedience}. It slows your opponents down, shuts down {Spark Trooper} and adds to your enchantments (like {Sphere of Safety} and {Ethereal Armor}). Not to mention because Theros is "all about enchantments" so it is going to be even more powerful there.

Depends on your creatures... I would sideboard Obedience.

I don't understand why people don't think pontiff is not a good card. I love him am I just think when he's out with like archangel of thune, things can get devastating. Post rotation he can go up to like $5 imo

Well, he's a 6 drop and you can't use the ability until turn 7. It's easier to have a few creatures (or enchantments--->{Blind Obedience}!) with extort. Lastly when you extort, it all take place at the same time so extorting 4 times still only activates {Archangel of Thune}'s ability once.

And you still need to pay for each one!
For me orzhov would probably either be the blood Barron or if its a little more swampy, crypt ghast all the way.

Each instance of extort is a separate trigger. Each one you pay for is a separate life gain event, and Archangel will trigger for each of them.
