{Captain of the Watch}
{Gideon's Lawkeeper}

Yes it does, unfortunately, however, that would be cool.
The Vigilance ability on Captain is only active for the creature card it is written on (unless it say something to the effect of "other creatures you control have Vigilance").
Off the top of my head, I cant think of anything with Vigilance and a tap activated ability (I'm sure there is one), but it would still have to tap anyway as part of the ability cost.
Keep the questions coming, it's one of the best ways to learn with how complicated the game has gotten in the last few years. :)

Phat Max

Spike's right about vigilance. Basically, vigilance only makes it so when the creature attacks it doesn't tap. Tapping abilities, or being forced to tap, such as by {Sleep} still tap. Hope this was insightful :)

Urzathran

But you CAN attack and then tap the creature during the declare attackers step after attackers are declared. (assuming the creature has vigilance and a tap-to-tap).

I have a question, I have just started playing so sry if this is a nooby question, what exactly is the stack? And mana burn.

Phat Max

Mana burn does not exist anymore. Originally you would take 1 damage for every unspent mana in your mana pool, but has been changed since then.

The stack just refers to the order of how spells would resolve... An example:

I play some creature, {Llanowar Elves}
My opponent responds with {Mental Misstep}
I then counter that with {Negate}

With each card that goes on the stack, it is placed on top of the last. When no one else is going to respond, you resolve each ability/spell from the top down.

First, {Negate} would counter the {Mental Misstep}.
Since it's been countered, {Mental Misstep} goes to the graveyard.
Finally, the {Llanowar elves} gets to resolve.

It can get way more complicated than this, but that's the gist of it.

Great description, buddy! You deserve some kudos! 😁

Don't forget to have a look through the basic rule book in this forum.

Ok, Ty. One more thing, If a creature has an equipment attached to it and is returned to it's owners hand, does the equipment die?

Dont reply with "i dont know", its an useless post. About the questions, equips never die if the creature equiped is dead or comes back to hand, they are just unnatached
