And I forgot to mention that I got braces 2 weeks ago and she got them 3 weeks ago, does this matter or affect the kiss.

I'd go in for it pull her aside at school say I love you and plant one on her the first kiss is always important. But please do keep in mind that her dad does have the final say so don't piss him off
