If I have  {Tamiyo, the Moon Sage}'s emblem and I cast  {Malfegor} does the ability still work? The way her emblem reads it would i just want to make sure.

Yep discards are basically useless

It seems like you discard your hand, your opponents sac the creatures and then you may return the cards to your hand.
