Divert/Misdirection

In a 2 player game can spells like  {Divert} or  {Misdirection} be used against spells like  {Duress},  {Cabal Therapy},  {Thoughtseize}, etc to change the target to the player casting the spell?

You can't redirect duress in 2player cause it says opponent. The thought seize will work but she/he gets to pick the card still.

No. The spells would still have target "target opponent" of the person who cast it. Since you are the only opponent, and he is not an opponent of himself, you would be the only valid target to select from.
