I said that more or less...
Do you wanna take the next one then?
If you want to, go ahead! I've done about 3 of these, so you can if you like. I just want recognition :P
I'm bad at these though. My husband is good though...
I'm not seeing your resolution :P

You want to go, or me? Or your husband :p
I have no idea

The duke of Clarence's cook is preparing a pheasant that his master has brought back from the hunt. He wants to accompany it with a wine sauce that needs to be reduced for exactly 9 minutes. He has 2 hourglasses, a big one allowing him to time 7 minutes, and a little one allowing him to time 4 minutes, What should he do to time the 9 minutes?

Sorry for taking so long!

I think he should just look at the clock on his wall instead of being a wuss and using crappy hourglasses

here's what happens. He flips them both over at the same time. Whenever the little one finishes he flips back over both so that the larger one will drain for three minutes ( 7-4=3 of course a horse). Whenever the larger one finishes it's three minutes, the small one will have a remainder of one minute in it. He drains it 3 times for a total of nine minutes. (4+4+1=9)

After a small amount of confusion, here it goes!

I've been sitting in this cave for years,
Staring down this trail of tears,
I've always been wise, as I plan your demise,
I want everything gold, as I've gotten old,
Everything I see is in the kingdom of me.
What am I?
