FlickerYourOwnIdentity

Like my bros say, "Don't trust Varolz, 'It's a TRAP!'" :)

Anyway, you did pretty good, nice job for your first time!

Varolz is an amazing commander for scavenge/dredge
Edit: I suggest {splinterfright} and {life from the loam} along with {genesis}, {sheoldred, the whispering one} and {vorinclex, voice of hunger}

FlickerYourOwnIdentity

I think they meant modern/standard-wise, and I have to agree with them on it.  I tried to make it work, and it didn't.

FlickerYourOwnIdentity

Try to stay away from the cards that acually have scavenge.  Because the whole purpose of this commander is to beat people face in, using big cards, with small casting cost.

So I suggest {Death's Shadow}, and {Force of Savegery}. :)

Rpbarber

I highly recommend  {Buried Alive} to give you the chance to put those big creatures in your graveyard faster.

Forgot about that, and yes!  Maybe a {Liliana of the Veil} to discard some big creatures.

And control board.

And be liliana...

Thanks for all this great feedback guys! I am on a budget at the moment and dont have much to trade, but i can get a lot of the stuff you all suggested :)

Yeah i was thinking that myself, {dreg mangler} will be coming out, but i think the {Deadbridge goliath} will be staying.

That_Guy

As you can all probably tell, the creatures are pretty much sac effects ({Vampire Hexmage}), little rampers ({Llanowar Elves}), and big fatties ({Necropolis Regent}), does this seem about right strategy wise? Or should i change it up?

What does everyone think of {Far wanderings} in this deck?

Mana ramp is always helpful, even when you can't use that threshold ability. But with this deck, hitting threshold should be easy, which is even better.

Unrelated recommendation: {Phyrexian Dreadnought}. Have it kill itself on ETB for {1}, and scavenge 12 counters for another {1}. Same plan as {Death's Shadow} ;)

I like both of them cards in here. I may have to go through some trouble to find the {Phyrexian Dreadnought}, but the {Deaths shadow} should be easy. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Edits: took out {Dreg Mangler} for {Golgari Cluestone} and took out {Boar Umbra} for {Far wanderings}.
I will be replacing more when i can get some of the suggested cards above.
