Yeah, I really need to get it.

Crapshooter

 {Renounce the Guilds} quickly becoming an all-star for me, so good!

 {Nivmagus Elemental} with  {Talrand, Sky Summoner} or talrand with  {Runechanter's Pike} are all great, but even better in these combos.

 {Sun Droplet}
I find it useful when I'm at school having a full table 8 person multiplayer free for all.

If the elemental is removing your instants and sorceries from the graveyard you're lowering runechanter's bonus?

Elemental doesn't work like that.

Sorry I was thinking if they were in your graveyard it still counted as under your control

The elemental's ability only works with spells that you've cast, but haven't resolved yet (are on the stack)

Destore117

That's weird timing. So basically you're using up all your mana to not even use your spells to put a few +1/+1's on him?

It's pretty decent when fighting control decks. If your spell is about to get countered, why not just exile it and pump him up instead? It's not the most applicable of abilities, but it has its uses.

Destore117

Yeah...alright I guess that makes sense. Can his ability be used at instant speed?

MisterJH

His ability isnt exactly 'used' as you please. When you cast a spell, it goes on the stack. Then, before it resolves you may decide to exile it, and instead add +1/+1 counters. If no spells are on the stack, his ability cannot be used at all.

Destore117

But like say they play a counter spell and they are both on the stack. Can you exile and fizzle their spell?

Ok Then that's pretty nice :)
