Hahaha i was just asking myself this last night when I saw that {master of the pearl trident} was in standard.

If you want to play  {Talrand, Sky Summoner} I'd suggest playing more cheap spells maybe like  {Think Twice},  {Thought Scour}

Absolutezero

Ummm I play four of each do you mean other ones?

Mattao19

Wow fail I totally missed those lol but still more spells means more Talrand tokens. Also maybe  {Delver of Secrets} as a T1 play

Absolutezero

I use thought scour or tapped land as turn one but that may also work

Mattao19

Ya a T2 3/2 Flyer is amazing

Absolutezero

i would assume  but what to take out?

^^^^. This. All good Mer decks run something like  {Trait Doctoring}, usually  {Aquitect's Will}. Alas.... Standard!

A one of {Stormtide Leviathan} could also do some good for you here.

Cheers!

 {Progenitor Mimic} would be fun in this deck and I always thought  {Scroll Thief} was a good merfolk even without the master, granted I did play a more controlly version so they had little creature to block.

Something's urking me about this list and I think I figured it out. The singleton  {Beck // Call}....  Just seems out of place here. Maybe swap for  {Cyclonic Rift} better late game for sure.
