No one is saying you can't ask buddy. Just PM those involved.
One example why: You never know what issues a post has caused in the background. The sort of stuff we mods deal with often never appears on the public forum but as a result of things on the public forum. It would be terrible for old fueds to restart after an issue is resolved.
But alternatively, old posts are just dead for a reason. Cool? 😊
