I want to add karma to all of these because they make Allot of sense. And that's from someone who's never reeally cared for religion
It exists fine
I don't believe in most of it
Ok.
As long as people don't try to press their religion on others. Claiming their's is the only "true" belief. I have no problem

Apathy Reactor

XD but what if it is true?! I'm just trolling, God bless yah.

Destore117

It's just. Nobody can know for sure what IS out there and what isn't. So it's just...all the "Holy Wars" that have happened. And all the "This belief is wrong so we must convert them!"
It's like. Nobody has the right to judge. No one. You want to kill yourself to get 72 virgins? Go ahead! Just there is no need to blow people up about it...you want to worship an elephant man who lives on a cloud? Awesome!
You are willing to set yourself ablaze and never speak again for your belief? That's cool too.
You want to believe the one son of god gave his life for you. Go right ahead.
It's just...nobody needs to hurt anyone else for their religion...and nobody has any claim to there religion being more right or wrong than anyone else's...although morally... blowing yourself up...idk about that one. But hey. Whatever gives you the will to get through your life. I certainly have no right to judge anyone on their beliefs.
It's just. Shut up. Stop arguing about it. He wants to worship a god for each month.
You want to worship one god for everything.
Just let people alone with their choices. If there choice is truly "wrong" then you know they won't get "paradise" or whatever comes after death for followers. Just let people worship whatever idol, man, omnipotent being, h*** even if they want to worship a piece of dirt on their hand. Who cares. It's their life. Their business.
I'm gonna get so much flak for this.

Bozo_Law

I hate this. Not just for humans though.

the problem is that everyone everyone is entitled to believe what they will, but if I believe that the sky is green, it doesn't change the fact that the sky is obviously blue. believe what you will, I can try to tell you the truth, but it is your own decision whether or not to accept that truth. every man goes his own way, truly, but in the end, we all will be judged, my duty is to praise God while I am here on this earth, and to let my actions speak for me, and to lead others to the truth, so that they too can experience a relationship with God.

I agree with Ice. I know all the killing is terrible. But not all Muslims are extremists. Not all if them want to kill everyone. The only part of Christianity I can think of that es about killing was the Crusades and the Inquisitions. They were the darkest times in the church. They had no right to kill people because they didn't convert. They should not condemn them for not accepting immediately.
I don't force Christ on anyone. If it's God's will, he will make a point to see you as his follower.

Apathy Reactor

exactly, we as Christians are called to be peaceful, and to turn the other cheek when provoked, I never try to hurt people, especially not because of their beliefs. I try to love a Christ-like life and to be a positive and generous influence on others

Destore117

See I knew I probably shouldn't have said all that because I wasn't trying to imply Muslims are extremists it's just the only Muslim belief I know of.
And as for living a "Christ-like" life.
It's commendable to be able to ignore anger so well...I can't...and well it's just well awesome that you can.
Anyways...so many things confuse me about religion...I won't go into detail because I don't want to offend anybody. But like...in the end...if there is an afterlife...and there is a god. Is there a passage in the bible saying God already has our lives planned before we live them? Because my Ex's youth group leader said something about that. And this is going to cause controversy but. If God knows exactly how our lives are planned before we even live them. What is the point of saying "these people who I created to believe in me can enter heaven"
And "I created these people knowing they wouldn't believe in me so they go to hell" it's like...I'm setting you up to fail. But all of you welcome to paradise.
That is the most confusing thing about religion to me...I truly am not trying to upset anyone. And I'm so sorry if anyone is upset by this.
It is simply a question.

Sin is not an invention of God, it is an invention if the devil, who tempted man, and caused the fall, we are predestined, that much is true, but the fall is our own faults, we are all born into sin, whether we become a Christian or not, it is how we choose to live out our lives, that determines where we go, but in the end, it's not about heaven or hell, it's about Gods righteous judgement.

The1337Magician

We aren't judged upon our works though. As we are in Christ, he sees us living vicariously through Christ's perfection. We aren't judged upon anything bad we did before or after our decision to become a Christian. But since we are Christians, we shouldn't try to stay in sin, but show of God's transformation by giving works of God. Christianity is the only religion that isn't works based. This is what makes us unique. There is both Heaven and Hell. God changes people's lives. God knows his children. We are predestined, but we have free will. Complicated, but true. Don't worry about offending me. Please ask if you have questions, I'm happy to answer as long as I know what you're saying. Ask away.

Apathy Reactor

Very true! I love the way you worded that! not works based and the only religion that accepts that we as humans can never be good enough on our own, and that we need a savior. works are not the main focus of Christianity,we are saved through faith and grace alone, but keep in mind that works are still important.

It's just like. If God is so forgiving. And so Righteous...I just don't understand how if he's so well I guess perfect (and who decided God was a he anyways?) why he can allow so much just...literally evil in the world. I just...there are so many things that...well...if he's a perfect being...could do to help his children. Idk but anyways!
I like Buddhism as a religion. Mainly because of the meditation which I have tried and it has truly helped me control alot of my anger. Plus I agree with a lot of the ideas. Idk. There are good and bad sides to every religion in my opinion. And so many loops and turns you think you can see through but I...I just idk. I mean I pray for my friends when they need help I can't give them because I live far away. But I've always wondered.
If there is a god. Will they get answered...because I'm not Christian or catholic or any of those things that devotes themselves to god. So do my prayers even count?

Whatever created us is sure shaking its head right now (if it has one)

The1337Magician

Sin is a part of our nature. Once we (as humans) sinned it spread through our DNA and it became a part of us. But God gave us a promise that he would crush Satan and win the day. This gave us a choice to follow God or enjoy ourselves on earth and not after life. This doesn't mean as a Christian we can't enjoy things, it means we put God first. God 'allows' sin because it gives us a reason to follow Him. If there was no punishment, what is the reward mean? There must be sin so that we know what Christ has saved us from.

Apathy Reactor

it's not a question of why he allows evil, he doesn't, We brought evil into the world ourselves (or rather, the devil did) he sent his son to give us a choice. if it wasn't for Jesus, we would all be Damned to hell.
