That is even stronger claim, but I'm not sure if I want to see citations anymore :O

"Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself? Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or is it gain to him, that thou makest thy ways perfect? Will he reprove thee for fear of thee? will he enter with thee into judgment? Is not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities infinite?" (Job 22:2-5 KJV)

Why do you say that? What did you do to deserve to be named a man of great wickedness?

Posting bible verses are not fact. They are prose to be widely interpreted, but never concise of their true meaning. If this debate should continue reasonably let's not just throw blind bible verses out there.

Oh the idiots who rock "John 3:16"

This goes straight back to my point.
Of each copy of the Bible being an interpretation of how someone else read it and they then wrote it down as how they interpreted it. But then. Others interpret their words differently than they thought ending in an infinitely distorted truth from what could have been originally intended..

KJV is the oldest common English version, and each person's interpretation is simply a translation from one language to another, a few words may change, but the story is always the same.

I mean the message from the books can completely be misinterpreted. (Or taken too literally?) idk. But yeah.

there may be books out there that interpret the bible differently than it should, but the bible itself should ALWAYS stay true to the same story.

Destore117

I'm meaning that the PEOPLE will take the book's differently.

Apathy Reactor

yes, within the church there are different controversies that no one really agrees on, such as what the "thorn in Paul's side" really was, but the beauty of it, is that no matter whether you are Methodist, Baptist, or Ctholic, Jesus is Lord and Savior, none come to God except through him.

Destore117

Do you believe in the Second Coming?

MuggyWuggy

Yeah didn't the Christians predict may and October 2012 to be the end?
