Master Biomancer + Azorius Charm

Ok, I've got three questions, but I understand from the FAQ I need to post them all separately. I feel pretty dumb asking these, because I've been playing for so long, but they all seem pretty nitpicky, and I'm really trying to get all the timing rules down. So, here's the first.

I've got a Master Biomancer on the field, and cast Wolfir Silverheart (or any creature...the specifics don't matter.) In response to the cast, my opponent Azorius Charms the Biomancer off the field. I've gotten different rulings, from L1 judges about whether or not the new creature gets the Biomancer bonus or not, and both have shown me rules citations to support their position, but for the life of me, I can't remember what they were. I'm inclined to think things won't go so well for me, and the new creature won't get the +x/+x, since it's an ETB trigger, and not a cast trigger, but I wanted to check.

Thanks.

I am inclined to think the negative, the creature will not get the counters as by the time it ETB, biomancer is not around anymore to trigger.

Correct. The creature has not yet resolved in this situation, so the Biomancer's ability will not trigger.

I'm guessing you mean {Unsummon} or {Simic Charm}, not {Azorius Charm}. If your opponent used Azorius Charm to bounce your Biomancer in that scenario, you were cheated.

Doesn't change the actual point of your question; just pointing that out.

Momento: lol yes, I kept thinking of simic charm.
