I thought I read something that slivers shoul not ever go to dominara (where th core sets were I thought) due to changelings being there. Is that right or what?
Actually, Slivers are native to Dominaria. The humanoid slivers we see in the spoilers might be changeling sliver things.
They are actually native to Rath. Used by volrath to invade Dominaria for Yawgmoth.

The ones they spoiled so far are pretty high cost, they're also commons. It's possible they won't be playable, but they will be the favorite tribe of the new generation of players.

I hope they make Amazonian's! I just love strong female archetypes!

The Amazonian's were Greek warrior women
You're thinking Valkeries.
i thought Amazonian's were Greek. Whatever, I just hope they make whatever that strong female tribe is that was in Greece. It would probably be {G}{R} though

Bird, you're correct. Valkyries are Norse. If they do amazonians, they better do Spartans.

Concerning slivers, eh it's just gonna be a cute tribal that'll be decent for the time that  {Cavern of Souls} is still around but I don't think it'll be tops. Especially with the mana cost of these guys. It's like looking at bad reproductions.  {Horned Sliver} and  {Heart Sliver} vs these guys?
Amazonian's and Spartans are both part of Greek mythology. If either is missing, ill be disappointed with the Theros block

Ant wait to see how the gods will be represented in theros.

Theros, properly done, can be amazing with all the interesting things in Greek mythology. I would LOVE to see representations of the Titans and when Zeus and the other god's over throw them. Just a lot of really interesting stuff.

agreed. I hope they handle this better than they did kamigawa. Which I think is more R&D, not design, why it got screwed up like it did

Raven316

{Sentinel sliver} for 2 mana and vigilance this card is way better that the older one

Harvest

OH MY GOD THE TITANS!!!!! Totally forgot about them, now I'm even more excited haha.

I'm just mad cause they're taking up good common slots that are usually reserved for awesome cheap creatures.

The good news about them printing these bull.poo. tribal creatures across all these colours is that there will have to be some kind of mana fixing for limited, which means the duals probably are sticking around, or some sort of common fixing that does the same thing.

Agreed. Limited will be much like this: what're you playing? Jund slivers, you? Naya slivers...
It will be nice for the new players and could interest more into playing. As long as they reprint  {Extinction} I think I won't mind standard slivers much.

MisterJH

How about the one drop that gives them all first strike.. I find that fairly good... In fact i wouldnt mind drawing it early late or mid game

Birdbrain

I just hope I don't pull many at the prerelease. And if I do have to use one, that its playable by itself

MisterJH

^ 1 for a 1/1 with first strike? 2 for a 2/2 with vigilance? Not great but absolutely playable imo.. Better than most of the poop creatures in standard right now! Its gonna be fun

Dudecore

The 1/1 for 1 with first strike isn't really that good...they seem to be priced fairly prohibitively for competitive players tastes. But they are commons, so hope for some more complexities and playability exists at higher rarity.

I think its pretty good but thats just me... {mutilate} is rotating out, leaving {supreme verdict} and spot removal as the only ways to deal, and having a board full of first strikers for 1 mana fits my taste. Idk maybe i just overrate first strike but its really nice imp, especially with the vigilance sliver

Dudecore

It is just a 1/1 that sets a 1 damage clock. So you could theoretically kill someone in 20 turns. The first strike is kinda useless on a 1/1, it chumps and that's about it - I don't imagine it trading for many creatures. But the slivers are more the sum of their parts, and each of them count.

Unless they're resistant to {Mizzium Mortars} or {Supreme Verdict}, it'll be for new players in a controlled environment like Duels of the Planeswalkers
