If I have  {Gisela, Blade of Goldnight} and equip  {Inquisitor's Flail} to it does it deal 4x the damage or just 2x

Birdbrain

4X. Both say double damage don't they?

Birdbrain

And you can't damage enchantments and lands??!!? Her text says "permanent"

I guess they didn't want to say creatures and planes walkers to save space. That must be it

She would deal four times her damage (two, multiplied by two), because she has two effects that double damage.

The damage abilities are replacement effects, which stack. It's similar to {Rhox Faithmender}. Also, you can find in the rulings of {Inquisitor's Flail} that equipping two of them will multiply damage by four.

Awesome thanks, I'm thinking that to keep a creature from dying to make it indestructible

Birdbrain

But she decreases damage taken by half, so she would cancel out the negative effect of the flail

5/9 Turtle

Well if something is still big enought to kill her

Or even putting it on  {Fencing Ace} with both out and the flail on him

Or even putting it on  {Fencing Ace} with both out and the flail on him
and boost his power to 5. 20 damage on a single turn

5/9 Turtle

But if someone blocks it its pretty much dead, and with both out and power of 5 that would be 40 in one turn, he has double strike

Yeah I already made that deck it's paired with a crap ton of enchantments and  {Sphere of Safety}

Birdbrain

No. I was already factoring double strike plus the flail

5X4=20

Oh I was saying with gisela out, looks like one of us has a great mind

you right?

5/9 Turtle

They say great minds think alike, I know both of us have great minds to be able play magic, my great mind must have failed for a couple of minute
