I usually rank from 3-2, 2-3, 4-1. But sometimes 5-0 and 1-4 and rarely 0-5

I very consistently get better than 3-2 at fnm and have placed quite a few times

Idk about articles, but I play competetive Magic. I get 1st/2nd literally every week at my LGS for FNM (Modern), I also play at my old LGS on Wednesdays with my old playgroup(Standard), there's about 12 of us, and they're all highly skilled players as well. I usually rank around 2nd or 3rd, my friend Gareth usually takes first, sometimes I best him, although it's rare, he's a very experienced player.
