So I was playing a game with my friend. i had 2 {death's presence}'s out and he didn't think that when my {worldspine wurm} died that I could use the counters on one of the 5/5 wurms. Does anyone know if this is true?

But don't you have to place the counters on the stack before the wurm effect? Then doesn't that mean you won't have a target, so you can't place the counters effects into stack?

This is correct. Regardless of stack order the presence trigger needs a target when placed on the stack. The wurm tokens are not existing at that point.

Both triggers go on the stack at the same time but the {death's presence} requires a target when it goes on the stack and at that time there is no target because the token is not on the field yet.

actually, they trigger at the same time but you choose the order in which to put them in the stack. Makes no difference to these cards, but nothing is in the stack at the same time as something else. It is always put in the active player going to left order, and each player chooses the order of their own same time triggered abilities.

Order is irrelivent. The {death's presence} needs a target creature when it goes on the stack, but the worm tokens haven't resolved at that point, so they aren't valid targets. You can still place them on another creature you control.
