ICloud back imtg

I have a question about imtg and iCloud when I look at usage it says imtg is 1.4 gb but when I backup using iCloud it only backs up imtg at 55.5 mb how come it doesn't back up the pics?

Because that would be a bad thing to do, wasting 1.4GB of your valuable iCloud space for something which can always be downloaded from iMtG server.
