I'm not in love with either mechanic. I think ecobound has more room at being the nature mechanic, because it feels that way. I like the idea of tokens with creature types. I also think it has much potential to abused. If it were to be the mechanic - then removal needs to be common numerous. It promotes aggro, and leaves not much there for the control player.

Divergence is a solid mechanic, it just doesn't strike me as very nature oriented. That is the part I don't understand. How is letting people copy spells a nature theme? And if the spells themselves are the wild part, can't players tame them?

All and all, I am going to conscientiously object to the democratic process, as I do not believe in it.

Good luck all.

Birdbrain

Well. What kind of mechanic would you suggest?

And I think we could use metalcraft as a way to judge Ecobounds power level. Lets ignore battalion when designing it. For now

I honestly think there is room for both. Different playstyles for the nature aligned players. There is some crossover too, divergence can actually help opponents reach threshold for eco-bound.

I know I asked Kaleo if he was sure that he said nature mechanic.  But he said it promoted the unpredictability of nature.  Oh well.

if you use the right effects, it could feel very at home as nature

Ok guys I recently found out something recently pointed out to me among pm-ing.  Read the revelation in the stickied topic.

This only applies if we are using clans.

i can't find it

Birdbrain

Also. I realized it could be abused, which is why I made it a threshold, rather then a "this many=this much"
The threshold balances it. Hey! That's something else we could look at when getting a feel for a balanced power level. Threshold

Edit: I think it should only go on creatures now that I think about it. It would be too hard to balance it on other card types
