Can i target my {Darksteel Colossus} with {Rapid Hybridization}, DC's indestructability makes him immune to the Destroy effect while still giving me Frog Lizards?

This would work. The Colossus is not an illegal target, and since the token is not dependent on the creature being destroyed, you'll get the token. Cool find!
