If I used  {Stolen Identity} on  {Nimbus Swimmer} do the +1/+1 counters carry over also?

As far as I know it would not, as the copy is of the card which is a 0/0  as no mana has been payed fie X and would die straight away.  if it had a enter battlefield ability that gave it +1/+1 counters then it would survive.

Ok that makes sense I just wanted to clarify it before I just went ahead and did it and got into an argument
