So .loving. sick of this bullshit. I had plans today since my parents said they had plans as well, then suddenly, out of .loving. nowhere my father decides to cancel his plans and take me to the doctor. Like, what the .love.?!?! It just bothers me... those sudden plans without even just an announcement a few hours in advance. Like, I was just sittin down about to take a shower then leave, when he tells me we're going to the doctor. I know that hi plans are probably more important/relevamt than mine, but I just hate how people pull the .loving. jump on you like "Oops, I just have to take you to the doctor and you have no day in it". .love. this.

I HATE IT

Moving out soon enough, but still with my parents right now. I know whatcha mean.

I've had at least one parent in the house for the last six years, except for the times we were all out... Loving every minute of it. Like now, my daughter has decided 6.30-11.30 PM is a proper nap-time. "I'm awake now daddy", I laugh, "that's not funny daddy".
Three year olds, gotta love m. :)

theravenseye, I know that feel. My parents do it to me all the time. I've expressed my displeasure, respectfully, and they've gotten better but they still do it from time to time. My parents demand that I'm at their beck and call every hour of every day. They literally sat me down for a big talk about why they hate online gaming, and that was why.

"It has no pause, you're stuck there for 20 minutes to half an hour!"

"What's the problem with that?"

"How can you not see the problem with that‽ You're so far gone!"

(Paraphrased)

Took me forever to get the real answer. The part that pisses me off the most is that I can't fight it. I'm 18 and I'm not allowed to sit down and do what I want for a couple hours. It's not like I do it in excess of that I'm an .rearexit. about it. I can't even compare it to leaving the house because it's not "real" like the people I'm playing with don't exist and my preferred method of entertainment is invalid. Pisses me off but I have to live with it. I need a job...

Sorry to derail, all that to say parents take their children for granted. You must be at their beck and call. Just wait till you move out and the chores /really/ aren't getting done.

Similar situation here, but as long as chores end up being done, they're fine with my gaming. Most of the time.

"It has no pause button". I'm sorry, but I pretty much don't use the pause button while gaming offline..
Sounds like the kind of parent I'm trying to avoid becoming.
Then again, sometimes I can understand being worried about something and trying to talk about it gets harder as kids get older. For now I'm happy my son is geeking out as much as I am, and they encourage it at school.
I don't know your parents, but I hope they're not just claiming time just to be. (My mum-in-law has that tendency, so I won't say it doesn't happen).
However: could you try to get them to say what it is they worry about? That makes talking about it that much easier. (With them that is)

I know, it's a double post, but this one is too awesome.
My daughters come swarming around me: "papa, Kiki Jikki kijken" (dad, we want to watch Kiki Jiki). Warms my heart they have already developed a fondness for broken combo decks. :)

Just finished watching Antman. That's one amazing movie.
