I remembered Coffee today so much...:D I have played his Superfriends Fog on "new Cockatrice" server and met a douche who started to criticise deck from third turn when I had 3 lands and {Elixir of Immortality} in play. Saying that I play deck that was played 5 monts ago and that he wants to face only real decks...:D I did not believe what he wrote... Then I told him that I play gtc cards as well and casted gideon and he commented that ok I play old deck with new trash cards... :D

After few rounds he left in the moment when I casted verdict after few rounds of fogging and growing gideon and Tamiyo...:D

With words I'll leave u in ur world my deck is designed for my meta not for trash decks...

Cannot believe that people like that are part of community.. I always thought that magic players are merry fellows who want to enjoy time with their popular game...;)

I know that nothing from this is really interesting but simply still cannot absorb the fact that some guy treats other like he is the best and u r trash...

Sorry for this weird post...:D

D00shes exist everywhere. Unfortunately Magic isnt invincible and is also subject to it.

Once I was playtesting a deck that revolved around {switcheroo}, {stuffy doll}, {street spasm} and tons of mana dorks. The person played The Top Three (thrag, thundermaw, resto at the time) turn after turn and proceeded to be condescending and ask me what the point of my deck was. I asked him what the point of net decking was. He promptly left the match after I asked that.

Im the same way. Which is why I always play wonky homebrews, even if I know they're going to get stomped.

My LGS is full of them. These snobby little kids come in and give attitude and are just down right rude. I was playing in a draft and I had just passed. So I look to my right and there were two piles of cards, one was his deck, one was the next hand to look at. This kid couldn't have been more than 12 years old. I asked him "which pile is yours? I didn't see where you placed it down". He remarks "idiot it's right here. F***ing dumbass". Now, being a civilized adult, I just looked at him and said "was that really necessary?" His response: "was that really necessary" in a mimicking tone. At that point I ignored him, but what the hell? I was more than 3 times his size that little snot nosed brat. The nerve of some kids. I blame the parents.

Same here.  I just can't stand when 70% of a format is the same deck, or when people win GPs and PTs with other people's decklists.  I suppose it's because I'm a Johnny, and use decks as a form of art in a sense... It's like tracing the Mona Lisa and saying you're great at painting.  Still, there's no other way for me to test my decks online, so I just try to bear it.

kids are too spoiled. jesus i'm 17 and saying that! these young kids who come to the shop with their 300-400 dollar decks and snobbery really need to get a better attitude. I remember when i started playing.. my parents gave me 20 bucks to play in a draft every once in awhile and occasionally 30 to play in a prerelease.

I blame society. In the good normal times you would simply spank the kid, and a valuable lesson would be given. Now, you would get arrested for that.

Eh, they're kids. You just gotta bear in mind that their bodies and organs aren't fully developed, and that includes their brains. They'll grow out of it.

HOPEFULLY

Piotr

That's what we're trying right now, and it obviously doesn't work.

Organs need to be trained with external input, and punishment is such an input.

Personally i like the douche bags who haggle me for my card prices and then tell me they can get this on eBay for much less.

Go buy it on eBay. Supply and demand. You have no cards I need, you are rude to me and you expect me to drop everything I'm doing for $7.75 because your mom/bus can only operate at certain times? No thank you.

I know most of you go by avg price, but what's the point of quoting a high end price if it's never used? I personally prefer to get rid of several items at once, that way I can use the avg price, but for a single? I might as well hold onto my shock lands that are jumping in value rather than collect 11.43 and the guy is busting my balls still when I stand by my position.

Also, nothing is safe from douchers

I think Magic is fine right now. It is fine if Spikes buy 400 dollar net decks. If that is how they get enjoyment (by winning, not building), how is it different from buying an event deck? I think that there are always douchbags. Give a douchbag money and his true self will be more evident. But I don't think it has anything to do with the johny/spike raito...johnys can also be douchbags. Like when they lose to a netdeck, they call the spike "uncreative", which may not be true. I think parenting is the biggest factor. If you raise a kid well, and give him stuff in moderation, he will grow older to be less of a douchbag...whether he likes building his decks or buying them online.

I agree, and in my case, I only made the net decking comment because they criticized mine for no reason other than they were stomping it. Net decking is fine and it has its place in Magic, but if you go on the offensive about my homebrew and aren't giving constructive criticism about it, then I reserve the right to bash your net deck.
