Prior to gatecrash I have enjoyed playing my golgari zombie deck. The main focus of it is to have a {Lotleth Troll} and then discard a bunch of creatures that have scavenge. It's extremely aggressive and just fun to play. W the release of gatecrash,  {Immortal Servitude} has made me want to change the deck around a bit. I'd like to still feature lotleth but instead of the slower scavenge part I'd like to have lower costing creatures that I can discard and then bring them all back with  {Immortal Servitude}. Does anyone have suggestions on which creatures I should put in this deck? I was kind of looking at creatures that cost 1 or 2 in order to have a turn 4 or 5 servitude.

{Rakdos cackler} and {vexing devil} for sure.

So far here is my rough list. Anymore suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

2  {Corpsejack Menace}
4  {Lotleth Troll}
4  {Rakdos Cackler}
4  {Vexing Devil}
4  {Slitherhead}

2  {Vraska the Unseen}
2  {Garruk, Primal Hunter}
2  {Gnaw to the Bone}
3  {Immortal Servitude}

InfinitiveDivinity

{Grisly Salvage} and {Mulch} to fill up your graveyard for a big Servitude. Maybe even just Salvage

{deathrite shaman}
{gravecrawler}
{diregraf ghoul}

Okay, here is the list I am going to run. Let me know if you see any weaknesses or areas I could improve upon.

26 creatures:
2  {Corpsejack Menace}
4  {Lotleth Troll}
4  {Gravecrawler}
4  {Diregraf Ghoul}
4  {Rakdos Cackler}
4  {Slitherhead}
4  {Vexing Devil}

12 other spells:
3  {Immortal Servitude}
4  {Grisly Salvage}
2  {Mulch}
3  {Ranger's Guile}

22 land:
4  {Woodland Cemetery}
4  {Overgrown Tomb}
2   {Grim Backwoods}
6  {Swamp}
6  {Forest}

Drop {ranger's guile} for {tracker's instinct} to help fill your GY up faster. Or replace guile with {wild beastmaster} so all of your creatures get the buff.

Kamikazekiel

Think guile is more of a sb card then? Lotleth is going to need some sort or removal protection since he is the main win con for this deck.

Mikefrompluto

Ah I didn't think of it being used for the hexproof part. Maybe drop it for {glaring spotlight} to protect all of your creatures and to make them unblockable after you drop a servitude.

Not a bad idea, I'll give it a whirl and play test it some to get a better feel for it. Thanks for the ideas!

The only removal he needs to worry about are spells that exile the troll all others cant kill him since he regens.

The biggest worry is a miracled terminus.

Kamikazekiel

I think I'll still put some sort of hex proof in the side board for control matchups.  {Terminus},  {Detention Sphere},  {Oblivion Ring}, and even other enchantment spells such as  {Pacifism} will shut lotleth down.

Mikefrompluto

The thing is {terminus} doesn't target, so 'proofed or not, lotleth is still screwed if one hits.

Mikefrompluto

But yeah, giving it protection isnt a bad idea if its your main wincon. As stated above, {terminus} and things like {supreme verdict} and {bonfire of the damned} are the only things that can touch it.
