Say I activate the ability of the {Vizkopa Guildmage} that says "whenever you gain life, each opponent loses that much life" and I have exquisite blood out. I then do damage to an opponent, say for example reasons, with a creature. I would gain life because of the {exquisite blood}.Does the Guildmage ability trigger then.

If so, wouldn't the {exquisite blood} trigger again and ultimately be an infinite buff?

Yes, this is an infinite combo. All you need to do is gain life, or damage the opponent, and it goes infinite.
