{Obzedat, Ghost Council} with a {Healer of the Pride} or two out would be pretty sweet.
That is so mean and good at the same time XD

I am aggresively trading my  {Obzedat, Ghost Council}s that I pull (2 so far) because I know when people actually get to play with them, they'll see how bad it is. It's really bad.
Care to elaborate? I am curious as to how this card is bad?

As am I. 2 drain every turn, plus 5 combat damage (it has haste) seems good to me. 7 total damage every turn, plus 2 life gain. And if they block it, chances are the creature won't stand up to the assault

No haste.

Sorry, thought you meant immeadiately. I didnt notice the part at the bottom.

Personally, I think naya is better since they have thragtusk for blocks and life gain and the beats of Boros, thundermaw, and maybe some hellrider-token action. Obzedat is nice, but he needs to hit three times to wipe out thragtusk life gain.

Coffee Vampire

Thrag is a 5 life swing upon etb, and obzedat is a 4 life swing upon etb. So it would just take 2 turns for Obzedat to do as well as swagtusk in terms of putting your life above your opponent's.

That being said I still agree with you though...naya gets all the toys lol

Fair enough, though a well timed skull crack would mess them up, especially if they are looking for restoration shenanigans

Can't argue with that...skullcrack is da boss to end all midrange decks.

I pulled 2 {Obzedat, Ghost Council}. I'm trying to trade them. Not because it's not great, because it isn't the type of card I'd run. I don't currently see a deck it fits into. It dodges sorceries and enchantment, but doesn't swing. I don't know if I'd pay 5 for a card with rebound that deals 2 and I gain 2.

The jury is still out, but so far it seems pretty righteous.

Well I might actually be interested in it but your needed is very limited. Or should I say un-limited

Dudecore

I'll update it soon. I basically all but quit standard, I gotta wait for the meta to shake out.
I would trade it for a foil {Godless Shrine} and some EDH stuff. Basically foil copies from my Dromar EDH deck. (http://imtgapp.com/forum/index.php?topic=17406.0)

Ok probably won't have much started in NPH and my foils are packed away.

Do you mean that in most situations you would not want to swing with him? Because he can swing as he is given haste after coming back from exile.

You can swing with it, but it's a 5/5 without evasion, so I feel like it trades with most creatures for 5 mana cost. {Thragtusk},  {Thundermaw Hellkite}, various {Silverblade Paladin} bonded dudes. I don't feel like I'm attacking profitably with it, but in certain situations it does work.

Edit: At worst, someone chumps it with a 1/1, {Geralf's Messenger}, ect then morbid into a {Brimstone Volley} or {Tragic Slip}. I'm not saying its a bad card, I am just gonna let it play out. It's neither "OMGWTFban! or "This is Gideon bad". We've had the card for 3 days.
