Sweet deck, only problem is $$.. I need win cons like grisel but i cant afford this style of deck

MisterJH

Actually this may be cheaper than my deck.. But im not a copier anyways..
But i might copy this ;)

Go for it! I would love to see if other people have success with this deck too. I know it's pretty strong in my meta that is full of midrange and agro. Only one or two control decks.
This deck just combos if its own cards for so much death and destruction and card draw :)

If you can heartless turn two and crypt ghast turn three, you can seriously do anything turn 4.
Essence harvest is brutal, extort helps keep your life at a decent amount, and don't be afraid to use it as a resource. But do keep it above 0 :)

Oh and it's about 84$ on the average mark.

Been tweaking it for the last few.
I've placed 2nd for the last two. So it's getting better :)

I was wondering how you handled control decks with this.  I take aggro no problem but control beats me 90% of the time

Indeed, it is obviously the hardest matchup.
The only real answer is race them with big stuff and card draw. Card draw is your biggest strength against them and being able to drop enough fattys before they have time to build their mana base. Card draw will allow you to replenish your hand with more things to drop, possibly drawing out the  {Syncopate}s etc with one creature so you can drop a second.
I almost splashed red or green for  {Dreadbore} or  {Abrupt Decay} via shock lands, but I couldn't bring myself to do it, as it would stray my original game plan.
Of course once you are locked down its incredibly hard to do anything, extort has pulled a few games like this home for me. But they were usually game 1.

I guess I just took it that if I can't beat a good control deck then I probably don't have much chance of being able to tweak it so I can.
In every other matchup a turn 4  {Griselbrand} and  {Desecration Demon} is pretty crazy, and not many decks can cope with that kind of thing. Agro or midrange. A weak control deck may recover but I then usually horde  {Essence Harvest} and drop something big and play 2 or 3 for game when they are tapped out, extorting where possible.

Good luck :)

I've changed mine a bunch recently. Splashed red for  {Dreadbore} and  {Rakdos's Return}. Haven't tested much yet but how bad could crypt and return be? Lol

Wally

Haha yeah, with multiple {crypt ghasts} out your mana is insane, don't forget to extort for each when you can, it's nasty as.
I heavily favour {essence harvest} if possible as most of the guys are pretty big (even with the -1/-1) and you gain life. All for 3 mana (plus extort) its silly in multiples. When you can get them to sac for {desecration demon}, swing with griselbrand (gaining life) if they don't chump block there is already a big life swing, then two essence harvests usually finishes them off. Or at least very close.
(Don't forget to get 7 cards at the end of your opponents turn, or when removal is played)
