Ya I mean I'm so excite for this set because even though the whole set as a whole may be scattered a bit, I see alot of promise for certain cards. I am a casual player, so for me, this has alot of great cards. I will probably bomb in the prerelease but I can see myself getting alot of this set.

All-Mana Mania

For me I really like these plainswalkers!! Domri is for a power, smashing, killing deck cause you know he's gruul. While Gideon he more like get 200 loyalty use ultimate then next turn you opponent is screwed!! The mechanics are wonderful!! Evolve, battalion, extort, cipher and I forget the other one. The leaders: some are good some aren't that great.  {Obzedat, Ghost Council} is one of those good ones. And better with Gideon on his side. He mainly goes in then back out, go in then back out and attacking while doing this process.  {Lazav, Dimir Mastermind} is another one of those good ones. He is mainly the shapeshifting god. But sometimes he might be crappy just because of the graveyard card. {Borborygmos Enraged} is a pretty good one. I mean 7/6 trample is a good start. But his ability personally I don like. I mean woohoo you get three lands great ahaha.  {Prime Speaker Zegana} is a good one too. She is a 1/1 for 6 mana that mainly could differ from your creatures. So she is better late game. Finally {Aurelia, the Warleader} is amazing for a attack full force deck. It mainly is like all your creatures have double strike. So overall I'm very excited for this set an I can't wait for dragons maze

According to you, all 5 of them are good. ;)

I think that Lazav and Obzedat will find homes in successful standard decks, but not the rest.

Coffee Vampire

I don't think Lazav will see much constructed play, because he doesn't get ETB effects. There are hardly any creatures in the competitive t2 enviornment that are not played because of their etb effect. Angel of Serenity? Thragtusk? Armada Wurm? Geralf's Messenger? These creatures would be average without their effects. This makes Lazav average.

InfinitiveDivinity

I dig this set a lot, I think most of my excitement comes from the fact that I chose Simic and Simic turned out to be extremely beast. But beside Limited, there are so many sleepers in this set it's not even funny. I actually don't know what to build now because of all of the cards I like from the set. I look at every single card individually and then make my judgment. I'm sorry that you feel this way about the set, maybe it'll grow on you, although for some I think it'll be another Avacyn Restored - a bad set with power cards, which is dead wrong.

Well what I think is that those two, prime speaker and Aurelia are gonna be great while I really don't like borbortgmos.

Tetsomori

Gatecrash has some of the most powerful cards i have seen in a long time. Ive been playing competetive for 10 years and this is the first set i am buying a case of.

Birdbrain

Aurelia is better then double strike. Want to know why? What happens if all your creatures already have double strike? Can you say killed by 5 1/1 tokens?

8AuGuR8

Look at gideon as a 4/4 for 4 that cant be killed by sorcery kill spells and that cant block

He dies to dreadbore and the way you said that he still bad. Tragic slip, dreadbore miracled terminous and if they have enough creatures ro make him good he is probably dead or your probably dead

All planeswalkers die to {Dreadbore}. This makes {Dreadbore} good, it doesn't make planeswalkers bad. If Gideon were a four drop 4/4 creature that can't block but is indestructible, would you play it? And you can target yourself if you have a bunch a creatures, so the "you're already losing" argument doesn't follow. Whether he's great or not remains to be seen, but he's definitely not HORRIBLE. Most of the guild leaders are mediocre to good, while Obzedat and Zegana are awesome. With the exception of Gruul, I think it can be argued the new charms are stronger. I really don't see how people can be disappointed before we've seen these cards in action.

I 100% agree

Dudecore

I thought it was target opponent....even if, the card is not that great. It's a white artifact that does something very limited.

Im saying that as long as dreadbore is around gideon is bad

Wackaman9001

Run Gideon with {sphere of safety} and the problem of "being dead anyway" is solved. Also, Gideon's +1 says opponent, but if you get him up to fatal level then ultimate him, you can just win by floating some mana first. I think Gideon has a place in standard and look forward to building with him in mind

Birdbrain

Some cards look horrible on paper, but are awesome in application. And some cards, have cards that make then kick @$$ released in future sets (intentionally, and accidentally) so I say. Gideon could indeed have a use. We'll just have to wait and see
