Just trying to get as close as possible to my {Gelectrode} based Izzet deck of old.  Thoughts?

Ideally, I am drawing into a turn one  {Delver of Secrets} to become my beatstick on turn 2.   {Guttersnipe} has obvious synergy with all the instants and sorceries in the deck.  {Hypersonic Dragon} may well provide the final push I need for damage with its combined flying and haste.  I know {Magmaquake} is an unusual choice, but I like having it to help stop quick aggro decks, and to deal with planeswalkers mid or late game.

Interesting deck, have you ever thought about {Thought Scour}?  You need more draw base and to me Past In Flames should be a huge archetype in this deck.  Mabye add a {burning vengeance} somewhere, the sideboard maybe.  It is a deck that needs some help due to the fact that this deck can be slow for burn.  Good luck with it! :)

I've got 3  {Thought Scour} in there already.  I like the thought of  {Burning Vengeance}.  I'll try to get that in.  I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with the phrasing, are you saying to get rid of  {Past in Flames}?

Sorry about thought scour I'm blind at times.  No I mean past in flames should be a big part in the deck, which is why I suggested burning vengeance.  Sorry for the confusion

What would you suggest I drop to put those in?  I was thinking the  {Cyclonic Rift}.

Or I suppose it could also just replace Guttersnipe since they do the same thing.  But I'd like both honestly.  Maybe 3 of each, since with so many instants and sorceries they both say "deal with me or die."

I say keep the 4 guttersnipes and put burning vengeance in your sideboard, because remember there are quite a few things that can get rid of your graveyard

Updated list.

-2  {Past in Flames}
-1  {Desperate Ravings}
-2  {Cyclonic Rift}

+1  {Thought Scour}
+2  {Reforge the Soul}
+2  {Wild Guess}

I usually just sit there with Past in Flames in my hand.  I almost never use it.  I'm usually not too thrilled to draw Cyclonic Rift either.

Wild Guess works very well in this deck and I am never sorry to draw it.  That and Reforge the Soul help me refuel my hand when everything else fails me.  I much prefer Wild Guess over Desperate Ravings except for the RR casting cost.
