I want to know about the other mtg players out there, age? What do you do for work? Married?
I'm 25 and just getting back into mtg, I work at a bank, and my girlfriend is already with holding sex because she doesn't like the idea of me playing again.
What about you?

Safira008

17, Junior in HS, been playing MTG almost a year, not married. I work at a museum in my hometown and enjoy it. Looking forward to the future and I'm hoping to go to Vanderbilt Univ or Hanover College after I graduate.

Im 24, married, substitute teacher and part time bike builder. My wife has had the flu for a week and a half, causing us to not be able to be....intimate. Which is torture for a 24 year old. Started playing MtG at 12 and stopped around the time of Mirrodin (original.) Started playing again in June and love it even more than I did when i first played years ago.

I understand torture. My girlfriend is one of those ass for days situations 😫 but I love my deck building nights too

I'm 24, married, and have a 1 year old daughter. Been playing magic a little over a year. I work at a plastic manufacturing plant. With the family and long hours at work I take advantage of mtg time :) My wife doesn't play magic but supports me in it. My daughter love magic cards. They taste great to her haha. She hasn't eaten any good cards though :P

16, been playing for 10 years now, mostly collected as a kid when Mirrodin kicked off. Only started getting into the competitive game a few years ago, people at my bad LGS know me for my unique deck brews and unorthodox play-style. :D
I'm in highschool, exams are going on this week which sucks.
I'm Irish and I fence for Ireland, but I live in the US. That's about it, really.

I'm 33, married going on 10 years, 2 kids, currently finishing an advanced degree in Medical Science. Started playing Magic in Alpha, quit around Weatherlight, sold all my cards for a song (song compared to current value and even for then), started up again casually around Scars block. My wife doesn't get mad about me playing or "withholding". :) Yep, life is good.

I'm 24, not married. Kinda worried now that all the other people on here are married that are my age. Lmao. I'm a special education teacher for 8th grade in Brooklyn NY. I have a girlfriend for over 3 years and hopefully plan to put a ring on her finger in the next year or so. I am competitive amongst my friends when it comes to MTG but never play at LGS or tournaments. I'm a home brew deck player and mostly build theme decks. Don't care much if they win, as long as the strategy or purpose of the deck works. At one point, I had over 50+ decks but have slowly taken them apart. Unfortunately, my crazy imagination is never ending so I have gotten back up to about 30 decks. My girlfriend doesn't support magic ie buying me stuff, but she realizes that it's part of my life and doesn't bug me about it. And she can't really withhold what isn't there ( we want to wait til marriage). Though I do buy alot of cards, I am more of a surprise person so I don't buy playsets, I'm boosters all the way. Always have been. Always will be. My first starting set was torment or apocalypse. Can't remember which one because at that time, I only bought the cards because they looked bad ass.

My wife didnt like it at first. I had to explain it to her that its basically Narnia or LotR in card form (shes a huge fan of both) and that its not going to cause me to turn into a devil worshipper or anything like that. My lunatic brother-in-law, on the other hand, thinks im going to hell because of it.

Quackmaster5

Haha ya man. I've done it before with an ex girlfriend but decided to take that route now with my current girlfriend. Not gunna lie, it's tough but it honestly makes a better relationship bc it isn't hanging over us that we need/want to when we are together.

I'm 15, 16 on March 26 :D I've been playing magic for about 6-8 months, it all started when my best friends brother got kicked out and we found his old cards. I'm a sophmore in High school and I'm not married, however My girlfriend and I will be celebrating our 2 year anniversary on April 30th(: she is cool with my nerdiness, she claims it turns her on so all the more reason to love magic! Yes we have had sex, we waited until after our 1 year however. I plan on going to MMI or MIA for graphic or video game design, however I think it would amazing to design magic cards. Yeah that's me... Oh and I used to play baseball until I threw out my shoulder... :P

Once I put it into perspective for her, she started to support it. I asked her if shed rather me play Magic, or hang out in bars all the time like all my friends or her friebd's husbands. She was even willing to learn it so we'd have something else to do together, but it didnt interest her. But she tried and that meant a lot to me.

If she at least tried then I'd say she's a keeper.

I'm 17, I play lacrosse.  Started playing magic 6-7 months ago. I first heard about magic from collecting baseball cards (which I now no longer do:)) I have never had a girl friend, not because I play magic, but mostly because I have so much school and such that I just don't care. Still living the free life😎
