In a mono black modern deck, would you use either  {Victim of Night} or  {Doom Blade}??

{Go for the Throat} is worth considering too, at the very least as a sideboard card. {doom blade} is useless if you are playing against another black deck. Just the same, Go for the Throat is useless against Affinity decks.  So it's wise to be prepared to encounter either opponent.

I already have  {Go for the Throat} in my modern deck, it's my favourite destroy spell, as I just imagine a vamp sneaking up and ripping out the throat of the creature

Im absolutely kidding anyways i alwys have my little visions of how cards act out irl, like if steel hellkite lived in the US, and people had CMC :p i frequently find myself comparing real life to magic and magic to real life, seeing mana symbols when i blink..
