Not if you don't like her, or you don't like commitment. I don't like being bound by restrictions. I already made the commitment to end Standard after Dragon's Maze, I've already started trading off my Standard cards for EDH, and I already told my girlfriend that we need to "talk". I'm off to a good start.

Introduce more people into magic or find more people at my school that play. Believe it or not playing against the same Person over and over again gets boring over the weekend we got a head start on this however when we pulled a 3rd person into our group
