Pick a pack

My lgs does this every once in a while, I didn't realize it was tonight and instead of rtr got to do this. Pulled a snappy and payed for my packs, so even though I went 2-3 I was happy. Do you're guys' shops do this?

Not sure what you mean by that can you go into a little more detail on what your asking.

Normally they would do the regular rtr draft, but when there's not enough people for that they do pick a pack, you buy any 3 packs that contains 15 cards from any set except unhinged/unglued. I got innistrad worldwake and mirrodin. The guy across from me did saviors, fith dawn, and coldsnap as an example. It was rather interesting but I was very unprepared for it

My lgs calls that frankendrafting, I really wanted to try it but I was out of money :/

We call it wacky drafting. We plan on doing before the midnight prerelease of GateCrash, since that last draft of the current set is usually a kind of "ugh, I'm so tired of this set" feeling.
