Bleeders lose to discard. If they dont have spells to cast and answers to use then they can stall or bleed effectively.
Totally overlooked this!
And especially against extort since its whenever you cast a spell.
What in simic beats bleeders?
A huge {Cloudfin Raptor}, haha

Dudecore

Bleeding is one of those less popular archtypes, like milling. It tends to be mid-range and mana intensive to pull off.

Simic has strength in how many cheap spells it has and how many resources it accumulates (mana, cards, and life). Bleeders have to decide early on if they want to stop your resource allocation and early dudes or your big finish cards. If thy choose wrong then youll over run them with early game or have no answers for your late game. Plus it's just hard to bleed something that has so much

Birdbrain

So then. Bleeders are weak to tempo decks?

Period. 😁
You just called Ohrzov weak. Because MaRo said basically that Orhzov in gatecrash is primarily a bleeder deck. RESIST THE OPPRESSORS! Ok, I'm starting to lead this topic off topic

Orzhov as a guild maybe, I will agree that there are some very powerful cards in Orzhov, but I'm not too fond of it as a limited choice. This set is too aggressive, in constructed it's viable in turbo fog and control though

Dudecore

Bleeder decks are good for EDH. You can keep a low profile and gain enough mana to swoop in for a crushing finish. In Standard? I doubt it, seems too slow and mana intensive. Doesn't change the board state either, much like milling. Gaining 1 or 2 life a turn is sweet, getting swung at by a 5/3 is not.

Birdbrain

So use a tempo strategy against Ohrzov? And mid/late game swing in with big finishers?

I wouldn't model a deck around beating Orzhov. They don't seem particularly powerful.

My point exactly, I figured I'd at least give them some credit though lol

I won't model one around beating it. I just want to know how to keep it off balance just in case I'm up against a good player.
Also, dimirs main strategy this time around is evasion. It's secondary strategy is milling

Dudecore

Beat Orzhov the way you'd beat any deck that play 5-6 mana spells every turn...

Dimir is always about evasion and milling. They always stink too. Might be good in limited, gotta play first.

Birdbrain

Is boros bad too? I heard it was. What about gruul?
