I'm reading where people are saying that this is only so long as you control him.  Now, if that were the case, wouldn't it have the "As long as you control..." phrase?  Here's the picture that has it in there.  Also, I want to call shenanigans on the Master Biomancer in there.  Wouldn't the proper wording be "and is a Mutant", not "and as a Mutant"?

I like the Biomancer a lot actually! I'm just excited to play Simic at the prerealease. It seems too OP! Play BUG or RUG depending on your Gruul/Dimit pulls and just beat face with Evolvers and Bloodrush/Cipher shenanigans? Seems good

Could be good, a lack of Azorius hurts though, although Boros is beast. With this set, going Simic puts you directly in range of Dimir and Gruul and let's you play hybrids from both, no other guild has that. Golgari did the same thing with Junk/Jund decisions. Although there are a lot of good mono colored spells, being able to play the multis is very nice, their power level is almost always higher than that of a mono colored cards of the same CMC

Orzhov is my pick for pre-release, but I have to admit I'm disinclined to play it in standard now that it's just going to be a combo deck. Combo is my least favorite deck type and I refuse to play something as broken as Mage + Exquisite Blood. Makes me sad. I don't really understand why WotC would do something so stupid. Are we all just going to main board enchantment removal now? Am I overreacting? Is a combo that's easily put together turn four not OP?

Why main deck enchantment removal? Have you considered main decking creature removal?

You can't assemble it until turn 5 at the earliest, with a consistent land drop. It can't activate till turn 6.

Edit: for some reason I thought this said from each graveyard take a creature. So not as good for my multiplayer. But still a decent boss card.

You're absolutely right: a 3-color with a perfect draw and no removal from your opponents can pull it off. How silly of me. 😜

A creative mindset is necessary for innovation. I cant afford to restrict my building to the reasons something wont work, that's what revisions and sideboard are for. If i stopped because what i wanted to do wasnt likely to happen I wouldnt have gotten my avacyn game day mat or pukled off 3rd turn billion damage numerous times at standard events. Any dream can be made reality and most can be made viable so long as you package it in a reality friendly box.
