Djinn of Illuminations, Dynacharge

If you have {djinn of illuminations} in play, and maybe a couple {goblin electromancer} in play, could you replicate an overload spell? I know there's probably few spells worth doing this with, like {dynacharge} but I just want to know for deck construction purposes

You cast it for its overload cost, then replicate it for it's regular mana cost. But the replicates are still overloaded. Pretty sweet right?

Basically the instants and sorceries you cast have "pay the cost in the upper right corner of this card: copy this spell." If the spell happens to be overloaded, so be it!

This is because replicate just means copy. When you cast a spell and it goes on a stack, it is exactly the spell you cast, with exactly the same effects that you paid the costs for. So if an overloaded spell is on the stack and you copy it, it is still overloaded. Copying a spell means copying the EXACT spell.

Yes. However it's replicate cost is still its mana cost, not its overload cost.

Dynacharge isn't te only thing you can do with this...I think. You can also do teleportal. While the unblockable thing would be very redundant. It's also a stat booster. So why change this threads name?

What about with  {Isochron Scepter}? Im assuming it will just copy the original spell with no chance to pay overload cost?

Correct. Since you are not copying it from the stack, there isn't any way you could use the scepter to create an alternate version of the card...like a value of X or an alternate cost like overload.
