They aren't terrible.  Unless youre like my brother.  Then you'll fall asleep while taking the final, get woken up by the teacher, and pop your head up with the test stuck to your face via drool.  He did well in school

Seriously that's good for you. It takes a lot of hard work but being homeschooled is a benefit.

Why do you say so? I know little about how it works but why do you think it's better than other kinds of schooling?

It is not necessarily better but it gives kids a chance to get to know their parents better and have a closer relationship. It is also a much more direct form if learning. Like I said, I was homeschooled (I got to high school now) for the first 13 years of my life.
