Bonfire crash?

{Thragtusk} is pretty much the best card in standard. It's printed at Rare, so it might not command {Jace, Architect of Thought}, {Sublime Archangel} or {Bonfire of the Damned} prices, but it will be up there soon enough. Wait for Gruul or even Simic (ugh, blue and green is gonna be annoying).

I think other mythics like {Geist of Saint Traft} and {Huntmaster of the Fells} don't go for insane money is because they're not splashible, and their counterparts ({Snapcaster Mage} and {Restoration Angel}) are pretty prohibitive also.

It's no secret which the best cards are, and {Bonfire of the Damned} has become less useful because it doesn't stop {Thragtusk}. It's splashibility and 2 for 1 will always be relevant until the day it rotates, it's rarity has already set that up.

I remember reading that  {Tarmogoyf} wasn't an immediate hit, but I didn't know he was worth so little.

Yup. Modern masters reprint too? A foil goyf from that set is looking super sexy. I don't expect the value of it to go down either.
