Flint

With the new and upcoming Halo installment releasing in a few weeks.

I'd like to see if there are any other Spartans here.

Oh and COD is not so great. ^_^

I think both franchises are guilty of releasing the same game three times in a row, and I'm really hoping 343 industries can make it feel fresh again. I will say I lean towards Halo, though. But deep down it'll always be Team Fortress 2 for me.

I just realized, this is in the wrong section.

It not the same game... Each one get progressively worse. Best halo was combat evolved. Then 2 just under that with 3 just behind 2. I don't talk about ODST, and reach was pretty good. Cod 4 was the best then I believe world at war (didnt play much online on those) then mw2 after that a few weeks after each relaese it is nothing but complaints.

But I will probably have halo as my main online game with cod there for zombies and when my friends want me to play that. Then I'll have rainbow six as well.

Halo will forever be my game I will alway chose over all others. Although I agree the last few games were not the best but it was the first game I ever played on Xbox and was the only reason I got a Xbox and Xbox live. I also am hoping the with bunge out of the way That 343 can take halo back and make it the great franchise it once was.

Screw 'em both!  Dead Space 3!!  :D

Honestly, they're both great, but they're both generic FPSs.  I am getting Halo 4 and I'm really excited about it, but that doesn't mean I hate CoD.  Halo 4 is releasing new features and gamestyles that CoD already had.  CoD kinda got screwed and they put a lot into the other games and not leaving many new options for later games.

TL:DR
Theirs both good and bad, and I'm personally still more excited for Dead Space 3 

So now that the game has been out for a good while, how do you guys compare Halo 4 in light of recent CoD's? I will always prefer Halo to CoD though I find them both fun. Halo just seems to be much more fun to play than Cod IMO. CoD deaths = rage and Halo deaths = laughing at myself for being stupid/ dieing stupidly or applauding the enemy for that ricochet sniper headshot off a moving vehicle XD halo 4 wasn't the best surely, but that doesn't mean it wasn't fun! I'm about ready for another installment.

I thought only I could do that! I'd better up my game haha

but at least this thread could be rejuvenated with new ideas and conversations, unlike random old trials and questions that have been answered ;) although I do think that it's funny when you do that lol

See, the problem lies in the fact that Halo 4 sucked butt. CoD Ghosts has a pretty lame multi with some of the worst spawns I have ever seen, but Halo 4 was just terrible, I think. The campaign was not very fun and fairly dull, and the multi just came down to whoever pulle the trigger first or managed to steal the Mantis. So much time just spent spraying someone with an AR while they do the exact same thing, just to run into another AR and face the same problem. First person shooters are so terrible now. It makes me sad. I'm just going to stick with my RPGs and Dead Space/Killing Floor from now on.

Battlefield 4 > CoD > Halo 4

I enjoy the modern, realistic shooters. Battlefield 4 has amazing gameplay, physics, and graphics. The diversity in layouts, vehicles, and maps makes for the most fun team-based, strategic gameplay.

see this is where we differ, as I prefer futuristic, semi-realistic shooters such as halo, but I'll vouch that Battlefield 4 is amazing (although I apparently suck at it). Halo 4 felt to me not like a bad game, it just felt like a bad halo game. Like they took this great concept, story, and gameplay, and kinda drove it into the ground. I liked it better than most CoDs still, but I prefer Halo Reach any day. (Btw I don't have that AR problem, action sack and grifball and all the obscure little game modes are my favorites, so I usually end up waging war with a sniper or a hammer, just how I roll) overall it was a like it or leave it kind of game, and most people didn't like it...

Can't we all agree that Golden Eye wins hands down?

Clearly none of you have played The Half Life franchise.

This game not only had story, but action, challenging puzzles, interactive environments and designed a game engined that fueled counter strike. And that was only HL 1!

Half Life 2 was released and the game engine evolved once more! Damage radius was more accurate, the controls were solid and adaptable for even console. The story was so good that we fans still wait with anticipation for any news about a continuation of Gordan Freeman

Also I eagerly await id and Doom 4. These guys created the FPS and multiplayer FPS (deathmatch)

Halo and CoD just don't really do much other than have you kill stuff, and kill stuff with other things to kill stuff. Halo out of the two I would prefer though, legendary mode and the first 2 on Xbox were always fun with friends.

Multiplayer:
Only played 1/2 and it was so flimsy, can't really speak for 360 or xbone

CoD on the other hand, totally unfair in the sense that I just bought a game, log online and have no access to weapons in comparison to someone who had geeked hard and RPG'd level xx and now has a helicopter and dogs that just kill you instantly as you log on.

You learn to just sit and camp and that just lame, at least give us all the same access to the guns or powerups, not let a single person become overpowered due to the fact they spend everyday on it. Just makes multiplayer unbalanced and not a matter of skill.

that didn't really contribute to the argument... But ok then... I guess you vote halo?
