Only one team ever came back from being down three games in the ALCS...
Would like to see the Yankees put up a good show atleast. Though the Tigers have performed quite well and in the clutch.

I never got it either.  I don't see how I can root for people I don't even know playing a game that I'd have a lot more fun playing myself.  Do i like playing magic he'll yea do I want to watch other people play magic he'll no.  Nevertheless I always find myself at superbowl parties every year.

A lot of it has to do with regional pride. Most people from Boston grew up liking sports (entertainment) and they happen to watch Boston Red Sox. Some of it has to do with family tradition and sports are a large part of American culture too. I mean more people watch the Super Bowl than any other thing in the world.
