Hey I play heavy token deck and my friend was thinking of ideas to make it faster and standard. He thought about turning it from W/G to a bant deck. I was testing with this and was thinking about using more draw and using {cackling counterpart} in there to clone things that will populate or a {primordial hydra} to have a massive buffs with it along with {Geist of saint traft} I have been testing with stuff and want to see if you guys have any ideas on stuff for bant populate deck

I've been experimenting with an esper deck that has tokens. The only "populate" cards I can use are the ones printed {W} like {Rootborn Defense}. I think it has some application, and it's a chance to get some more looks at my deck.

Edit: Bant ({U}{W}{G}) can effectively do the same thing I'm attempting. The literal only reason I added {B} was the flashback on {Lingering Souls} (for now, until we see Orzhov and Dimir in Gatecrash)

Because some of those decks are from MTGO and they don't get RtR for an other week or so online. So there still playing with scars and m12 stuff.

In post-rotation times you really see a combination of fresh new deck ideas that don't last, people reviving decks that worked pre-rotation or decks that didn't work pre-rotation (I just basically described every deck).

Until we get a top deck (ie Delver) then it's hard to plan decks. We've got all the tools to beat every playstyle, but it's hard to know what your decks most favorable matchups are if you've got not clue what you're matching up with.

So we tend to return to more basic archetypes. Aggro, Control and Combo. Once we've spotted the *NEW* top deck, then were gonna run into Gatecrash.

It will be like that for the 1st couple of weeks. After that it should change. The meta just needs to get established. We all knew zombies was the best deck at the start of this new standard. Soon we will see different decks.
