Me and Brandaloog are thinking of getting a box and then me, him, and his brother go to the prerelease, or we can get 2 boxes and then wait for the release. We get paid on the day of the release and still haven't really decided yet what we what we want to do.

What do you guys think?

Do the math. I figured out at my shop that packs are cheaper in the events than in a box so i asked a friend if he just wanted to play (i pay his entry and keep the all packs). This way my team of three (maybe four soon) gets a lot more packs for cheap.

We can get boxes for $100 exactly. And then the prerelease/release will be $25 per person.

36 packs per box at $100 means $2.78 a pack. At my shop you ate garunteed a pity pack so you get at least 7 packs (6 for the sealed, one for playing) and it's $21 puts it at $3 a pack, however my team is very good in limited and will win more than enough packs to lower the price per pack below the $2.78 standard rate since we can expect a large prize pool with 40+ people.
