Should've mentioned you only had 8 cards in your deck when you played the shade.

I thought that in mini masters is you cannot be milled; when you draw a card from no library, shuffle your graveyard into library and draw.

I've never heard of this, in fact at our mini-masters we had achievement cards in which one of them was to be in a match where a player was milled. Didn't matter if it was your opponent, so this sounds wrong.
