So I just started playing after a friend introduced me and made this deck out of the cards I bought. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Ok cool, I'll look into acquiring some of those. Otherwise, does it seem like I have a half decent balance of creatures, lands and other spells?

Your balance Of creatures and spells to lands looks fine. You might want to consider splashing red for {stromkirk captain} and some red vampire spells. The captain is a beast, first strike on all your vampires is no joke.

I'm gonna say honestly forget the red.  Mono {B} is much more fun if you get some of the pricier cards.

Yeah I actually am going to stick with the mono black deck, as I'm working on a separate red vampire deck.
