Go with DoJ. You can sandbag creatures in hand and get rid of W/G tokens etc.

Is it just me, or is no one playing {Elite Vanguard} or {Alabaster Mage} in Standard human decks?  Are they not good enough to make the cut?

I think there are just better one and two drops in white right now.

Why use {elite vanguard} when there is {champion of the parish}, {Gideon's Lawkeeper}, and {avacyn pilgrim} for 1 drops. Then you add all the good 2 drops and there really isn't a place for it.

True, true.  I guess the Vanguard is outclassed right now.

I've seen some nasty combinations with him though, 1st turn {elite vanguard}, 2nd turn {bonds of faith} and swings for 4. It puts you in a bad spot in my experience

So, i am debating removing my green guys and just splashing both green and blue for {gavony township}, mana leak, and {Geist of Saint Traft}. Would that work, or would I be spreading myself out too thin in trying that?

I've seen it done before but the mana base is tricky with its balance, if you added birds of paradise it might be easier
