Creature has an aura. It gains hexproof. Does the enchantment go away?

Hexproof is the creature gains protection from spells and abilities that your opponent control. Shroud is it can't be the target of spells or abilities in general. So if the enchantment gave it shroud, yes the enchantment would go away.

BlackJester

Ummm nope.
Hexproof and shroud just mean that it can't be targeted. It had no effect on auras that are already attached. Once they are on a creature they don't continue to target it anymore.

Possibly getting confused between shroud and protection from...

Sorry just phrased it poorly. Knew what I was trying to say but reading it again I am in the wrong.

But I also knew of enchantments giving hexproof but not shroud... That's where I think I got confused.
