I'm a cheap *bad word*, the most I've ever spent is $6 on a {Garruk, Primal Hunter}.

In my casual days it was $8 for a foil elvish piper. When i went competitive I decided $23 for a planeswalker was enough, and just bought boxxes for trade stock from then on. The planeswalker was {gideon jura} or {elspeth tirel} whichever my {U}{W} control was missing at the time.

Not buying or trading for jace is why today i have the strongest trade stock second only to the tournement orginizer.
