Hex Parasite

If I have a creature with undying that has already come back with it's +1/+1 counter, and I have a {hex parasite} out.  Can I remove that counter in response to someone killing my undying critter and have it come back again with the +1/+1 counter again??

Also......this ability also works on planeswalkers loyalty counters right?

Hopefully they don't kill your little bug instead of the undying creature :p but yeah works nice. Depending on what format your playing in might work pretty good with {dark depths} take counters off + power up the parasite.
